A Week of Supporting Early Careers with Discover Finance A Week of Supporting Early Careers with Discover Finance A Week of Supporting Early Careers with Discover Finance

Recently we were proud to support a range of Discover Finance events in partnership with Connectr Early Engagement , helping students gain a better understanding of careers in financial and professional services and the many pathways available into the industry.

The week began with Anouska Ramsay , our Chief People and Transformation Officer, attending a leadership breakfast alongside the Lady Mayor of London, bringing together organisations from across the professional services sector to discuss how we can continue to support early careers and improve social mobility.

Later that day, we joined Aon at Mansion House in London, where 250 students aged 16–18 came together to explore opportunities within the sector. Ethan Phipps, our Responsible Investment & Stewardship Analyst, took part in an early careers panel, sharing his own journey into finance and highlighting that there is no single route to success.

We rounded off the week with a panel alongside West Midlands Pension Fund , where colleagues from both organisations shared their career journeys with students. Through open and honest discussions, they demonstrated that embracing opportunities can open unexpected doors and that a career path is built through continuous learning.

It was fantastic to see so many engaged and enthusiastic students throughout the week, and we're proud to play our part in supporting and inspiring the next generation of talent.
