We’re absolutely delighted to announce that we have been named Pool of the Year at the Local Government Chronicle (LGC) Investment Awards 2025. This is a real testament to what we’ve built together.

We were also proud to be Highly Commended in the ESG Innovation category, recognising the work we’re doing to embed responsible investment into everything we do.

What the judges said:

Pool of the Year: Judges praised LGPS Central for top-quartile returns, strong EDI and ESG integration, and our ability to demonstrate partnership and collaboration. They highlighted our governance maturity and stewardship innovation, noting how effectively we captured the pool’s progress and success in building trust and reputation across the LGPS.

ESG Innovation: Our ESG initiative was recognised as concise yet impactful, delivering measurable outcomes through collaboration and stewardship within passive mandates. Judges commended the clear evidence of delivery and external validation, setting a high standard for innovation.
